Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Metaphysical Paintings

I love sci fiction shows ... yes,  I admit it!

My favorite is StarGate! Here is a painting of the proverbial gate, and of the episode 1968.

I am also a fan of the original series of Star Trek.

And Spock in Bread and Circuses

On 2008 I saw the photographs from someone viewing the lunar eclipse, and I decided to give it a try!

And my take on what is an Ascended Being from the 5th dimension.

My son is my favorite fan!  And he is always asking me for paintings for his room.

Of course his favorite things are dinosaurs and video games characters!.

Here is some of my work,  a couple of them are from when I was learning to paint,  so I have learned much since then!

What is painting for me?

I will start with the definition of Art: Art is the quality, production, or expression of what is beautiful, appealing, and or more than ordinary significance.

So ....   as you can see, art like beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

To me art is more like a melody.  Yes, some works of art can be like music.
When you know about art, your eyes can go around a composition like a melody, when colors are well thought and the design is flawless. There is so much that goes into a work of art. There are tones of “rules” to follow to produce a good piece. From the Harmony of the colors, to the placement of the composition in general. As well as the idea behind it.

It is not just picking up a brush and draws something. It is so much more than that. To me art is a melody, a dance of sorts, a conversation.
